Combustible gas refers to a gas that can be uniformly mixed with air (or oxygen) within a certain concentration range to form a premixed gas. When it encounters a fire source, it will explode and release a large amount of energy during the combustion process.
Common combustible gases include:
1. Liquefied petroleum gas: It is obtained from the processing of petroleum or the extraction of petroleum and natural gas, and its main components are propane, propylene, butane, and butene. Gaseous liquefied petroleum gas is heavier than air, with a specific gravity of 1.5-2 times that of air.
2. Natural gas: Natural gas is a gaseous hydrocarbon produced by the long-term deposition of ancient biological remains underground, through slow transformation and metamorphic cracking. It is flammable and often accompanies the extraction of crude oil in oil fields. Natural gas is stored in porous rock formations about 3000-4000 meters underground, mainly composed of methane, with small amounts of ethane, butane, pentane, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, hydrogen sulfide, etc.
3. Gas: The main component is methane, which is a flammable gas that is colorless, odorless, insoluble in water, has a density lower than air, and is prone to explosion when mixed with oxygen or air at a certain temperature in a certain space.
4. Toluene: Toxicity: It belongs to the low toxicity category and is also flammable. Toluene can be classified into two types: toxic and flammable. (Specific communication with the customer is required to confirm the purpose of the testing)
5. Gas: The main components are carbon monoxide, hydrogen, alkanes, alkenes, aromatics, etc. Gas is toxic because its CO, aromatic hydrocarbons, and other substances can bind with hemoglobin in the human body, causing hypoxia, leading to drowsiness and even death. Even at low concentrations, it can cause dizziness, nausea, and collapse.
6. Biogas: It is a combustible gas produced by the action of biogas bacteria under conditions of air isolation and certain temperature, humidity, pH, etc. Since this gas was first discovered in swamps, it is called biogas. The main components of biogas are methane, with the rest being carbon dioxide, oxygen, nitrogen, and hydrogen sulfide (0-1000500010000ppm). The methane content is about 55% to 70%, and the carbon dioxide content is about 30% to 45%. Biogas is a mixed gas.
