Sampling process:
The GP power sampler standard 1.2-meter-long sampling tube can be equipped with a plastic lining or directly sampled. After direct sampling, the sample can be removed intact using a sample extraction tool. Two 0.6-meter extension tubes are provided in the set, allowing for a total sampling depth of 2.4 meters.
When assembling the extension tube, pay attention to the two parallel raised marking lines on each sample tube. When assembling the 0.6-meter tube, the marking lines should be at the top of the sampling tube. When assembling a 1.2-meter tube, the marking line should be aligned in the middle of the sampling tube. Correctly connecting the sampling tube and placing the marking line in the correct position can ensure that the built-in lining will not be misaligned or moved. Whether using a 0.6-meter or 1.2-meter sampler, when entering deeper areas in the borehole, it is necessary to connect the drill pipe coupler so that it can be extended to deeper spaces.
After reaching the sampling depth, the foot operated extractor can come into play. Place the 5-centimeter caliber bayonet of the extractor on the striking head, and with the foot pedal, the extractor can automatically extract the sample tube step by step. If the soil is relatively soft, it is recommended to place a flat plate under the extractor to maintain stability during operation.
