Product Details

Thermogravimetric analysis (TG, TGA) is the process of observing the changes in the mass of a sample with temperature or time during heating, constant temperature, or cooling, with the aim of studying the thermal stability and composition of the material. Widely used in research and development, process optimization, and quality monitoring in various fields such as plastics, rubber, coatings, pharmaceuticals, catalysts, inorganic materials, metal materials, and composite materials.


The main characteristics of thermogravimetric analysis are strong quantitation, which can accurately measure the mass change and rate of change of substances. Based on this characteristic, it can be said that any change in mass of a substance when heated can be studied using thermogravimetric analysis. Thermogravimetric analysis can be used to detect physical and chemical changes. We can see that these physical and chemical changes involve mass changes, such as sublimation, vaporization, adsorption, desorption, absorption, and gas-solid reactions


Product Features


1. The heating of the furnace body adopts a double row winding of precious metal nickel chromium alloy wire, which reduces interference and is more resistant to high temperatures.

2. The tray sensor is made of precious metal nickel chromium alloy and is finely crafted, with advantages such as high temperature resistance, oxidation resistance, and corrosion resistance.

3. The power supply, circulating heat dissipation part, and main unit are separated to reduce the impact of heat and vibration on the microcalorimeter balance.

4. Adopting an open top structure, it is easy to operate. It is difficult to move the furnace body up and place the sample, which can easily cause damage to the sample rod.

5. The host adopts a water constant temperature device to isolate the thermal impact of the heating furnace on the chassis and micro thermal balance.

6. Adopting imported 32-bit ARM processor Cortex-M3 core, the sampling speed and processing speed are faster.

7. 24 bit four-way sampling AD is used to collect DSC signals, TG signals, and temperature T signals.

8. The furnace body can be replaced according to customer requirements.

9. The furnace can be raised and lowered automatically or manually.

Introduction to Thermogravimetric Analyzer Infrared Combination


The thermogravimetric infrared spectrometer combined system (hereinafter referred to as thermogravimetric infrared combined system) uses a purge gas (usually nitrogen or air) to introduce the volatile components or decomposition products generated during the thermogravimetric process into a heated constant temperature gas pool (usually 200-230 ℃) in an infrared sample chamber through a connecting tube at a constant temperature (usually 200-230 ℃). The structure of the emitted gas components is detected and analyzed by an infrared spectrometer. Due to the fact that this technology compensates for the limitation of thermogravimetric method, which can only provide the thermal decomposition temperature and percentage of thermal weight loss, and cannot accurately determine the volatile gas components, it has been widely used in the thermal stability and thermal decomposition mechanism of various organic and inorganic materials.
