DM-2216 isolation converter is an RS232 (or TTL) to RS485 interface product with DCDC isolation and optocoupler isolation, which can extend the communication distance of RS485/422 bus network and enhance the number of RS485/422 bus network devices. The bus at both ends of the conversion can be optically isolated to prevent common mode voltage interference, and support automatic switching between RS485 bus and RS422 bus.

DM-2216 communication converter is an interface product that converts TTL (or RS232) to RS485 with DCDC isolation and optocoupler isolation. It can extend the communication distance of RS485/422 bus network and enhance the number of RS485/422 bus network devices. The bus at both ends of the conversion can be optically isolated to prevent common mode voltage interference, and support automatic switching between RS485 bus and RS422 bus.

2、 Functional Features

1. Bidirectional conversion, compatible with EIA/TIA RS232/485 standards.

2. Automatically detect serial port speed, automatically identify and control data transmission direction.

3. Active power supply, internal DCDC electrical isolation, isolation voltage 1200V.

4. The interface has 15KV electrostatic protection and built-in TVS fuse diode.

5. Asynchronous half duplex transmission, point-to-point or point to multipoint.

6. Transmission distance: The RS485 end is 1.2Km (9600bps), and it is recommended not to exceed 15 meters for the TTL/RS232 end.

7. RS485 adopts shielded twisted pair wire (wire diameter not less than 0.3mm).

7、 Frequently Asked Questions

1. Module 01 terminal GND, connected to the GND of the user device; Module 02 terminal RXD receives TXD transmission from connected user devices; Module 04 terminal TXD sends and connects to the RXD receiver of the user device.

2. Computer DB9 interface definition: Pin 2 is RXD, Pin 3 is TXD, Pin 5 is GND; Correspond to the TXD, RXD, and GND of the module in sequence.

3. When RS422 is connected to RS485, the T+and R+of RS422 are connected to A, and the T - and R - are connected to B.

8、 Warranty

If it is a manufacturing quality problem caused by the factory, the instrument will be repaired free of charge from the date of leaving the factory. If the damage is caused by improper storage and use, the repair cost will be charged. The warranty period is eighteen months.
