Metasys ® System BACnet ® The on-site device controller brings a new generation of hardware devices to Metasys Building Automation System (BAS). This series of field device controllers FEC, input/output module IOM, integrated variable air volume controller VMA 100, and NS series network sensors have unparalleled compatibility with advanced components of Metasys systems.
The FEC series controllers and VMA1 00 further extend Johnson Controls' commitment to adopting open standards. The FEC series uses the standard BACnet master-slave/token passing (MS/TP) protocol for communication, providing comprehensive standard applications for controlling HVAC equipment. Some models of FEC are equipped with LCD, which can be used to monitor and adjust the status of their control area. Multiple network sensor models provide a wide range of options for measuring and displaying area temperature, setting value adjustment, fan speed control, and supply air temperature control interfaces.
Integration with Metasys system management devices
The BACnet protocol FEC series controller can directly connect and communicate with Network Automation Engine (NAE) or Network Control Engine (NCE), achieving seamless connection to Metasys systems. Therefore, user administrators can directly view FEC series controller information from the Metasys system user interface (UI). In addition, user administrators can also view FEC controller information on-site through the FEC display panel.

The BACnet protocol is a standard developed by ASHRAE, ANSI, and the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) for building control.
The FEC series controllers and IOM expansion modules have undergone BTL testing and are listed as Building Control Specific Controllers (B-ASC). Network sensors are classified as intelligent sensors (B-SS) by BTL.
Controller Configuration Tool
The Controller Configuration Tool (CCT) is connected to the Metasys system for use on the MS/TP bus
Configure, simulate, and debug FEC controllers, IOM expansion modules, and VMA1 00 series controllers. CCT operates in the following three modes to provide critical functions for your system: configuration, simulation, and debugging.
The characteristics of CCT can be selected through a tree structure to create standard control logic program configuration, simulation, and debugging modes. The user interface provides flexible connection functions for uploading/downloading programs and communicating with controllers
On site equipment controller (FEC)
FEC is a programmable digital controller that communicates through the BACnet MS/TP protocol. The main controllers in this series include 10 point FEC x0 and 1 point FEC x0. Some models of FEC controllers are equipped with LCD displays, which can be used as the local user interface for the device.

The BACnet MS/TP communication protocol provides the foundation for system openness. Writeable flash memory allows you to download standard or customized applications from CCT software.
The ZFR1 00 series wireless bus system enables wireless connection between FEC controllers and WRZ series wireless temperature sensors, which in turn can be connected to NAE/NCE. Therefore, the selection of installation location for the equipment provides convenience. The detachable base is easy to order and install, and can be pre wired without a controller. The universal and configurable input/output can support multiple signal selections, enhancing the flexibility of controller applications. Different models of products offer a variety of point combinations to meet the needs of various applications, and support the addition of IOM expansion modules and/or network sensors to provide greater application capacity.
The automatic search function of NAE and NCE facilitates controller integration. You can choose whether to use a local user interface display panel (integrated display panel or standalone display panel)
