80GHZ radar level gaugeIt is a "top-down" measurement system based on the principle of frequency modulated continuous wave (FMCW). The antenna emits electromagnetic waves with continuously changing frequencies in the direction of the medium. After the electromagnetic waves reach the surface of the medium, they are reflected, and the reflected echoes are received by the antenna again.

Therefore, there is a frequency difference between the transmitted and received signals at any point in time: Δ f=k * Δ t, where Δ t is the operating time of the electromagnetic wave and k is the slope of the frequency modulation. Δ t is related to distance D: D=Δ t * C/2, where C is the speed of light. Therefore, D can be calculated based on the measured frequency difference Δ f. Based on D, determine the actual level height inside the tank.

For example, highly corrosive nitric acid storage tanks, liquid chlorine storage tanks with a dielectric constant of only 1.5, paraffin tanks with agitation, and PVC monomer storage tanks that are prone to crystallization.
