The high sensitivity and characteristics of diamond sensors enable a display resolution of up to 0.001 micrometers The SRG4000 surface roughness meter uses a simple internal structure that allows for metric to imperial conversion for length evaluation, length sampling, length parameter testing, level (sensor position), digital filters, and more! The measurement results are displayed in large characters on the LCD screen for easy readability.
The portability of battery powered SRG-4000 surface roughness meter enables it to improve the productivity of the entire workshop.

Surface roughness meter measurement guide

Surface roughness is the result of certain machining processes and their effects on the surface of a substance.

Sliding surface roughness meter is a common instrument in factory workshops. The diamond needle slides over the surface of the specimen, and the piezoelectric sensor records some vertical displacement The peak and valley values are recorded and converted into predetermined parameter values.

The parameters vary depending on the way they reach their peak and valley values. The commonly used parameter is Ra. Ra is usually defined as the arithmetic mean of roughness. Ra is an easy-to-use and effective parameter, along with many other parameters that are more specific and effective according to different application requirements. It is precisely with these parameters that we are able to define surface roughness.

Currently, in order to determine the Ra value, the use of portable handheld surface roughness meters is not only economical, but also digital and easy to use.
