Structure of plunger type gate valve
A plunger gate valve is composed of valve body, valve cover, valve stem, plunger, guide sleeve, sealing ring, handwheel and other components. When the handwheel rotates, the valve stem drives the plunger to reciprocate up and down in the guide sleeve, causing the inclined conical surface at the end of the plunger and the valve seat surface to complete the opening and closing function of the valve.
In the valve, the plunger and sealing ring adopt interference fit. By adjusting the pre tightening force of the flange bolt, the lateral force generated by the compression of the sealing ring is sealed with the hole surface of the valve body and the outer circle of the plunger, resulting in a non-toxic new sealing material with high wear resistance. Therefore, the sealing is reliable and durable, thereby improving the service life of the valve.
The plunger gate valve is designed and manufactured based on the original connection dimensions of the gate valve. Due to the disadvantages of leakage, poor sealing ring repeatability, and short service life during use, this plunger gate valve combines the leak free advantages of plunger valves with the fast opening and closing and high temperature and high pressure resistance characteristics of gate valves, becoming a novel leak free plunger gate valve.
