Brief Introduction to the Principle of Ammonia Nitrogen Water Quality Online Automatic Monitoring Instrument
After mixing the water sample and masking agent, the ammonia nitrogen formed as free ammonia or ammonium ions reacts with salicylic acid colorimetric reagent in an alkaline environment and in the presence of sensitizers to generate a colored complex. The analyzer detects the color change and converts it into ammonia nitrogen value output. The amount of colored complex generated is equivalent to the ammonia content.
