2. Adjust the height of the cross arm to a distance of about 5mm from the bottom surface of the Shore hardness tester indenter to the tested surface of the sample;

4. Press down the handle so that the Shore hardness tester can read the hardness value of the tested sample within 1 second when the pressure foot and sample are fully in contact under the gravity of the fixed load weight. The value displayed on the hardness tester is the hardness value of the tested sample.
5. In order to improve the accuracy of the test, take the average of about 5 tests at different positions with a distance of at least 6mm between the measuring points.
Maintenance measures
