The Wireless Shunting Locomotive Signal and Monitoring System (STP) is developed based on the "Interim Technical Specification for Wireless Shunting Locomotive Signal and Monitoring System" (Tiezong Yun [2014] No. 182) issued by China Railway Corporation. It is an auxiliary equipment for shunting safety protection. Through its ground and onboard equipment, it processes the relevant signals, switches, and track circuit section information obtained from centralized interlocking station shunting operations. The train ground adopts wireless communication mode, and through the train operation monitoring device (LKJ), it realizes the display of shunting locomotive signals and the monitoring of train speed. The shunting driver can see the real-time signal opening and track circuit status of the station yard, and have a clear understanding of the storage and route opening situation of the station, making shunting operations more transparent. At the same time, the system performs braking control when necessary to avoid shunting accidents caused by human paralysis and negligence.
STP effectively solves the problems of difficult signal confirmation, low efficiency of manual transmission of work orders, and high labor intensity for shunting attendants due to objective conditions such as external environment limitations, such as pushing operations at bends or in harsh weather conditions such as strong sunlight, rain, snow, and hail.
The system consists of a vehicle mounted part and a ground part

The onboard part includes the onboard host, onboard antenna, response positioning receiving module (query host and antenna), LKJ monitoring interface box, onboard printer, and supporting cables and other equipment.

The ground part includes ground host, electrical maintenance terminal, vehicle service terminal, data transmission radio, ground cabinet, switch UPS、 Inverted unit, etc.
