Steel lined PTFE storage tank
Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), commonly known as the "plastic king", is a polymer made by polymerizing tetrafluoroethylene as a monomer. White wax like, semi transparent, excellent heat and cold resistance, can be used for a long time at -180~260 ℃. This material has the characteristics of acid and alkali resistance, resistance to various organic solvents, and is almost insoluble in all solvents. At the same time, polytetrafluoroethylene has the characteristic of high temperature resistance, and its friction coefficient is extremely low. Therefore, in addition to its lubricating effect, it has also become an ideal coating for easy cleaning of the inner layer of water pipes.
Steel lined PTFE storage tanks are made of metal (carbon steel, stainless steel) materials as the matrix, and can be made into steel lined PTFE liquid storage tank composite tanks under advanced technology, including the internal structure, connecting pipes, manholes, liquid level, etc. of PTFE composite tanks. This process can completely separate materials from metal cans, achieving anti-corrosion, insulation, and other effects. PTFE lined composite storage tanks can be divided into plate lined PTFE composite storage tanks, roll coated F4 composite storage tanks, and spray coated F4 composite storage tanks according to the process. PTFE is a special material in engineering plastics, which has good comprehensive performance, high rigidity, low creep, high mechanical strength, good heat resistance, and good electrical insulation. It can be used for a long time in harsh chemical and material environments. The performance of PTFE mainly depends on the chemical composition of the polymer compound. PTFE has the following properties in terms of relative molecular weight, molecular structure, and physical state: low density, high strength, good electrical insulation, good chemical stability, excellent wear resistance, and lubricity. The steel lined PTFE liquid storage tank can meet both corrosion resistance and equipment strength requirements. It has been widely recognized by enterprises for its good performance, long service life, and corrosion resistance, which have solved many problems encountered in the production process of enterprises.
Properties and stability of polytetrafluoroethylene
1. Stable under normal temperature and pressure, avoiding moisture, heat, and high temperature. Without a true melting point, it slowly decomposes above 450 ℃ and directly becomes a gas. At 327 ℃, the mechanical strength suddenly disappears. Insoluble in any solvent. Apart from being able to react with molten alkali metals, it is not corroded by any substance, and even when boiled in hydrofluoric acid, aqua regia, fuming sulfuric acid, or sodium hydroxide, it does not undergo any changes.
2. White, odorless, tasteless, and non-toxic powder, commonly known as the "plastic king". It has excellent chemical stability, corrosion resistance, sealing, high lubrication, non viscosity, electrical insulation and good anti-aging endurance. High temperature resistance, with a working temperature of up to 250 ℃. Low temperature resistance, with good mechanical toughness at low temperatures, even if the temperature drops to -196 ℃, it can maintain a 5% elongation rate. Corrosion resistant, inert to most chemicals and solvents, capable of withstanding strong acids, alkalis, water, and various organic solvents. Good weather resistance and the best aging life among plastics. High lubrication is the lowest friction coefficient among solid materials. Non adhesive is the lowest surface tension among solid materials and does not adhere to any substance. Non toxic, physiologically inert, long-term implantation of artificial blood vessels and organs without adverse reactions.
Manufacturing process of steel lined PTFE storage tank
1. Extra large equipment does not require segmentation, as long as there is a D500mm manhole for construction, with a lining thickness of 3mm~5mm, temperature resistance of 190 degrees, and wear resistance.
2. Surface polishing (removing sharp corners, checking for any missing or welded seams on the surface);
3. High temperature degreasing (thoroughly removing potential impurities and oil stains from metals to ensure the adhesive strength of the glue);
4. Sandblasting roughening (using air pressure not less than 10Mpa for metal surface sandblasting to achieve optimal adhesion);
5. Apply imported adhesive evenly, the last step before lining the PTFE board;
6. Wax treatment of PTFE board (brushing glue within 10 hours of the wax thickness of PTFE board);
7. Labeling (labeling needs to be carried out at high temperatures, which is also a very important step for PTFE storage tanks and requires professional personnel to perform labeling);
8. Welding of PTFE plate welds (the joints are welded together with special tools, and the adhesion must reach 99% or above.
Steel lined PTFE storage tanks can store special highly corrosive liquids such as strong acids, strong alkalis, mixed acids, organic acids, inorganic acids, etc., and have higher temperature resistance.
Steel lined PTFE storage tanks are also known as steel lined PTFE storage tanks, steel lined F4 storage tanks, steel lined PTFE storage tanks, steel lined plastic PTFE storage tanks, steel lined plastic PTFE storage tanks, and steel lined plastic storage tanks.
