TW-6000 COD Cr Water Quality Online Monitoring InstrumentSuitable for water quality management of surface water such as rivers, lakes, reservoirs, industrial wastewater, sewage treatment plants, and operation management of drainage treatment projects. It can continuously and automatically monitor CODcr in water bodies, and when combined with a sampling system, it can obtain the total CODcr emissions of water samples, and transmit the measurement results to the location through networks, communication lines, and other means.

Product principle:

A mixture of water sample, potassium dichromate digestion solution, silver sulfate solution (silver sulfate added as a catalyst can more effectively oxidize linear fatty compounds), and concentrated sulfuric acid is heated to 175 ℃. After the organic matter in the solution is oxidized by dichromate ions, the color will change. The analyzer detects this color change and converts it into COD value output. The amount of dichromate ions consumed is equivalent to the amount of oxidizable organic matter, i.e. COD.
