Instrument usage
Based on the molecules and structures of various substances, it exhibits selective absorption characteristics for monochromatic light of different wavelengths. This instrument can perform qualitative and quantitative analysis of substance composition and content in the ultraviolet visible spectrum range. It is widely used in chemical, medical, biological, agricultural, food, environmental protection, jewelry, glass, antiques and other fields.
Instrument working principle
The spectrophotometric method utilizes the absorption characteristics of a substance for monochromatic light of a certain wavelength, and measures the composition and content of a substance according to the Lambert Beer law. This instrument operates based on the principle of relative measurement, which first selects a solvent as a blank solution (or reference solution) and sets its transmittance (transmittance) as 100%, then measures the transmittance (or absorbance, concentration) of the sample and reads the relative ratio. For concentration measurement, it is also necessary to measure the standard concentration solution to calibrate the slope of the curve.
