UV aging detection uses fluorescent UV lamps as light sources to simulate the UV radiation and condensation in natural sunlight, and conduct accelerated weather resistance tests on materials to obtain results on their weather resistance. UV aging detection is widely applicable to non-metallic materials and organic materials (such as coatings, paints, rubber, plastics, and their products) to test the degree and condition of product and material aging under changes in climate conditions such as sunlight, humidity, temperature, and condensation.
Ultraviolet rays in sunlight are the main cause of photodegradation and photoaging of products, so the selection of new products and materials must undergo weather resistance testing of the products. UV aging test is a type of testing method used to evaluate the UV light resistance of new products, usually conducted in a laboratory through a UV accelerated aging test chamber.
The products and materials that require UV aging resistance testing mainly include non-metallic materials, organic materials (such as coatings, paints, dyes, fabrics, printing and packaging, adhesives, automotive and motorcycle industry parts, cosmetics, metals, electronics, electroplating, rubber, plastics and their products, etc.).
