The electronic control system consists of a frequency converter, a programmable controller, a pressure setter, and low voltage electrical circuits. The equipment has two working modes: manual and automatic. Manual is used for equipment debugging, maintenance, and water supply in special situations. In daily situations, the equipment is placed in automatic mode to achieve fully automatic operation. When the equipment is used in a simple fire protection system, it is usually operated intermittently by a stabilizing pump or (fire pump). Supplement water to the fire protection pipeline network and stabilizing tank to rapidly reduce the pressure of the pipeline network. If the stabilizing pump cannot maintain the pressure of the pipeline network after starting, a variable frequency soft start fire pump will be put into use to extinguish the fire. The operation of the fire pump adopts a soft start and constant pressure variable working mode one by one. That is, when the water supply of one pump cannot meet the water demand, the system will be switched to the mains power frequency operation, and the variable frequency soft start of the next pump will be used until the fire standby pump is started. After the fire pump is started, the frequency of the frequency converter will increase with the increase of water consumption, so that the pump speed will increase, the water supply will increase, and the pipeline pressure will be maintained at the predetermined equipment value. For equipment without a stabilizing tank, the stabilizing pump is driven by a frequency converter to operate continuously at low levels to stabilize the pipeline pressure. In case of a fire, the soft start fire pump is sequentially activated to extinguish the fire. To prevent the water temperature inside the stabilizing pump from rising during stable operation due to small leakage in the pipeline network, a return pipe is added to the equipment outlet main to circulate the water inside the pump and prevent excessive temperature rise. A stabilizing pump with a head higher than the fire pump can also be used to reduce its speed.

The equipment adopts frequency conversion low-speed inspection and soft start of each fire pump during fire alarm, effectively avoiding pressure impact on other fire protection devices on the pipeline. In addition, constant pressure water supply is used for fire extinguishing, and the fire extinguishing effect is good. Therefore, the equipment is suitable for fire protection, sprinkler systems, and other types of fire water supply systems in high-end hotels, restaurants, and other high-rise buildings.
