Wireless remote transmission gas meter performance characteristics:
1. There is no need to install any centralized meter reading equipment on site. Only a GPRS module with a mobile SIM card is built into the gas meter, which can effectively achieve wireless communication between the gas meter and the backend system through GPRS, and transmit the data of the gas meter to the backend system;
2. The installation method of GPRS IoT remote transmission gas meter is the same as that of ordinary meter, and it can be put into use without complex installation and debugging;
3. Due to the fact that each gas meter must have a built-in GPRS module with a mobile SIM card, the mobile network and signal strength have a significant impact on it. If the mobile base station is relocated or the signal strength changes, it will affect the effectiveness of meter reading;
4. Similar to regular mobile phones, GPRS IoT remote transmission gas meters consume a lot of electricity if they are online in real-time. In order to achieve ordinary dry battery power supply, and the service life of ordinary batteries of general brands can reach more than one year, GPRS IoT remote transmission gas meters generally report data to the backend system once a day or once a week;
5. The GPRS IoT remote gas meter has a mobile SIM card inside the meter, which requires a certain amount of GPRS data flow every month. Therefore, there is a basic usage fee, which is commonly referred to as the monthly rental fee for the mobile SIM card. This fee has been negotiated with the mobile communication company, and the SIM card has been embedded in the GPRS module of the main circuit board to minimize operating costs.
6. Compared to wired remote gas meters, GPRS IoT remote gas meters are easier to maintain and have lower maintenance costs.
