Conference Introduction
In 1981, under the personal guidance of the great scientist Qian Xuesen, a comprehensive interdisciplinary science called Man Machine Environment System Engineering (MMESE) was born in China. Human machine environment system engineering is a science that applies systems science theory and systems engineering methods to deeply study the combination of human machine environment systems by correctly handling the relationship between the three major elements of human, machine, and environment, in order to achieve the three major goals of "safety, efficiency, and economy" of human machine environment systems. Qian Xuesen gave a positive evaluation of this emerging science. On October 22, 1993, he wrote to the founder of the discipline, Professor Long Shengzhao, stating, "You have pioneered this important modern science and technology in socialist China
On June 26, 2001, Qian Xuesen sent a congratulatory letter to the 20th anniversary commemoration conference of the establishment of human machine environment system engineering, stating: "In the past 20 years, you have actively explored and explored the emerging scientific field of human machine environment system engineering, and achieved very gratifying results. I am sincerely happy. I hope you will continue to work hard and vigorously promote the vigorous development of the theory and application of human machine environment system engineering, and make positive contributions to the progress of science and technology in China and even the world!
