Why choose isolated safety barriers?
Date: 2017-02-16Read: 9

Both isolated safety barriers and Zener safety barriers can achieve intrinsic safety and explosion-proof functions. What benefits will isolated safety barriers bring to users compared to simple and inexpensive Zener safety barriers?

The isolated safety barrier can effectively isolate the on-site circuit of the hazardous area from the control system in the safety area control room. This isolation can bring three major benefits at the same time: *, the isolation barrier does not require intrinsic safety grounding, simplifying the engineering construction when applying intrinsic safety explosion-proof systems; Secondly, it significantly enhances the anti-interference ability of the detection and control circuits; Thirdly, on-site instrument grounding is allowed, and the grounding of on-site instruments will not have any mutual influence with the grounding of the control system.

The use of isolated safety barriers can shorten driving preparation time and reduce parking time. This is because the isolation gate has more self-protection ability than the Zener gate, and the possibility of accidental damage is smaller. At the same time, the isolation barrier allows for live maintenance of on-site instruments, thereby reducing parking.

Isolation safety barriers have strong signal processing capabilities, providing greater selection space for the application of field instruments and control systems. So as to make the configuration of the entire system more reasonable and effective.

When users apply DCS and ESD simultaneously, using a one in two out isolation safety barrier can effectively isolate the two systems. So as to avoid the failure of one system affecting another system.
