Reflectance meterIt is a device used to measure the surface reflectivity of materials. Its working principle is based on the phenomenon of light reflection. By sending a beam of light of a specific wavelength to the surface of the tested material, and then measuring the intensity of the reflected light, the reflectivity of the material can be calculated. It has some important technical indicators, such as measurement accuracy, wavelength range, light source stability, etc. Among them, high-precision reflectivity measuring instruments can meet the requirements of international standard ISO3906-1980 (E) for reflectivity, accurately measuring the transparency of various coatings, oils, films, plastic products, organic products, and the reflectivity of solid surfaces.
Reflectance meterOperation steps during measurement:
1. Place the sample
Place the sample on the sample stage and adjust the position so that the measured surface is perpendicular to the incident light (the incident angle is usually 8 ° or d/0 °).
For irregular samples, fixtures can be used to fix or tilt them to the appropriate angle.
2. Set parameters
Select measurement mode according to requirements:
Single point measurement: directly aim at a specific area to measure reflectivity.
Multi point scanning: Set the scanning range (such as X/Y axis movement), automatically collect data from multiple points.
Spectral scanning: Select the wavelength range (such as visible light 400~700nm or ultraviolet infrared band).
Enter the sample number, test conditions (such as incident angle, aperture size), and other relevant remarks.
3. Start measuring
Press the "Measure" button, and the instrument will automatically collect data and display reflectance values (such as percentages or absolute values).
If it is a spectral instrument, the curve of reflectivity changing with wavelength (such as peak and valley positions) can be observed.
4. Data recording and preservation
Record the measurement results (such as mean, standard deviation, maximum/minimum values) and label the testing conditions (temperature and humidity, sample batch, etc.).
Export data to a computer (via USB, Bluetooth, or RS-232 interface) and save it in Excel, CSV, or a dedicated format.
