As a precision measuring instrument, dual frequency laser interferometer plays an important role in machine tool calibration, geometric measurement and other fields. To ensure its measurement accuracy and stability, special attention should be paid to the following matters during installation and use.
The installation environment has a significant impact on the performance of dual frequency laser interferometers. Installation should be carried out in a relatively stable and clean environment with stable temperature and humidity. The drastic changes in temperature can cause thermal expansion and contraction of instrument components, affecting measurement accuracy. Therefore, it is necessary to avoid installing near heat sources or air conditioning vents. Meanwhile, dust and impurities may adhere to the optical components, reducing the transmission efficiency of the laser and even damaging the components. Therefore, it is necessary to maintain a clean installation environment and use cleanrooms or protective covers if necessary. In addition, it is necessary to stay away from strong electromagnetic interference sources, such as large motors, high-frequency equipment, etc., to prevent electromagnetic interference from affecting the electronic signals of the instrument.
During the installation process, it is important to ensure that all components of the instrument are securely installed and positioned accurately. The installation bracket of the main unit, reflector and other components of the laser interferometer should have sufficient rigidity and stability to avoid shaking during the measurement process. During installation, strictly adjust the position and angle of each component according to the requirements of the product manual to ensure accurate alignment of the laser path. For example, the installation angle deviation of the reflector may cause the laser to not reflect properly, affecting the measurement results.
Before use, the instrument must be preheated and calibrated. Preheating can stabilize the electronic components of the instrument and reduce the impact of temperature drift on measurement. The calibration criteria are a key step in ensuring measurement accuracy. The instrument should be calibrated using standard calibration tools according to the prescribed calibration process, such as adjusting the wavelength compensation of the laser.
When operating instruments, it is necessary to follow standardized operating procedures. Avoid sudden vibrations or collisions to prevent optical components from shifting or being damaged. During the measurement process, it is necessary to keep the measurement path unobstructed and avoid obstacles blocking the laser light path. At the same time, pay attention to observing the display data and status indicator lights of the instrument to promptly detect any abnormal situations.
After use, turn off the instrument in the correct order and clean and maintain it. Gently wipe the surface of optical components with specialized cleaning tools to remove dust and stains. Store the instrument properly to avoid moisture and dust.
Only by strictly following the installation and usage precautions of the dual frequency laser interferometer can it ensure that it always maintains a good working condition and provides accurate and reliable data for precision measurement.
