224 Temperature Monitor
The 224 temperature monitor from Lake Shore Corporation in the United States can provide accurate temperature measurement over a wide temperature range (from low to high), and can simultaneously detect up to 12 sensor input channels. When researchers need precise low-temperature measurements, the 224 temperature monitor demonstrates superior measurement performance. When used in conjunction with Lake Shore's CerNOx sensor, the 224 temperature monitor can perform stable and reliable temperature measurements over a wide temperature range, measuring temperatures as low as 300mK.
The CerNOx thin-film resistive temperature sensor has high sensitivity and low magnetic field induction error at low temperatures. The 224 temperature monitor has been optimized for use with these widely available CerNOx sensors, and many functional features are similar to the 336 temperature controller, including a validated high-precision input circuit. In addition to CerNOx sensors, 224 temperature monitoring also supports other negative temperature coefficient resistance temperature sensors and positive temperature coefficient resistance temperature sensors, such as platinum resistance sensors and diodes such as Lake Shore's DT-670. In low-temperature applications, the 224 temperature monitor is suitable for applications where universities or research institutes need to monitor the temperature of multiple different types of sensors. For example, when used in conjunction with silicon diode sensors, 224 can accurately measure refrigeration or low-temperature gas products; When used in conjunction with platinum resistors or rhodium iron temperature sensors, it can accurately measure the temperature in the liquid nitrogen temperature range.
Each channel of Lake Shore 224 in the United States can be configured to connect different types of sensors to simultaneously reflect the temperature of different key points in a system. For example, used to monitor the temperature of multiple low-temperature refrigeration systems (such as liquid nitrogen Dewar, He4 low-temperature thermostat, closed-loop refrigeration machine); Or temperature measurement at different levels within a temperature system; Or thermal gradient measurement; Or residual temperature measurement at key points; Or heat leakage detection; Or in other applications that test low temperatures at multiple points. The alarm for each channel can be set separately, and the alarm can be triggered by the relay of the executing unit to trigger other devices, or it can emit sound prompts. Relays can operate outside of high and low alarm points, as well as within high and low alarm points.

Because the 224 temperature monitor has 12 independent channels, each input channel is a 6-pin DIN interface, and each input channel can be connected to different types of temperature sensors, while monitoring the temperature of different key points in a system. Channel A and Channel B are dedicated channels without scanning function, with an update rate of 10 readings per second. The other 10 channels are scannable channels - channel C and channel D can connect up to 5 sensors, and the update rate of these scanned channels can be any value from 1 to 10 readings per second, depending on how many sensors are connected simultaneously

The feature of the 224 temperature monitor is high resolution, with a 24 bit analog-to-digital conversion card for fast measurement. The optical isolation input circuit reduces line noise, which distorts low-level measurements, while providing repeatable sensor measurements.
The excitation current flipping function reduces the thermoelectric potential error that may occur when using a resistive temperature sensor. Meanwhile, the excitation current ensures measurement at temperatures as low as 300mK. When using the automatic range function, the range is automatically selected, so the excitation voltage is below 10mV, which ensures the minimum self heating effect of the sensor and also ensures that the sensor obtains sufficient excitation to complete accurate measurements.
The monitor can work locally or remotely
For local temperature monitoring, the front panel of the 224 temperature monitor adopts a LCD LED backlit display screen, which can display up to 12 readings at the same time. You can also choose to display only one sensor channel reading to enlarge the display.
Temperature monitoring can also be carried out through the network, using the Ethernet port on the 224 temperature monitor to remotely browse temperature readings, or remotely download data to a local computer or connect to any location through TCP/IP network. The icon recorder function of the 224 temperature monitor can also be used through the network port to conveniently display temperature readings in icons. You can also communicate between the 224 temperature monitor and the data acquisition system through USD or IEEE488 interface.

There are 23 operable buttons on the front panel of the 224 temperature monitor, with an intuitive user interface that makes it easy to configure the functions of the 224 temperature monitor.

Store corresponding curves
Like Lake Shore's 336 temperature controller, the 224 temperature monitor includes standard curves for silicon diodes, platinum resistors, and ruthenium oxide sensors.
The non erasable memory chip of the monitor allows users to store 39 200 point LakeShore calibrated sensor curves or user curves. Lakeshore can also provide curve handler software, which allows users to upload or copy sensor temperature curves to a monitor through a computer. If the application requires measurements with higher accuracy than the standard curve, LakeShore's SoftCal is also included in the 224 temperature monitor ™ The calculation method can generate higher precision temperature curves for silicon diodes and platinum resistance sensors, which can be stored as user curves in the monitor.
