3051CD differential pressure transmitterWorking principle:
During operation, the isolation diaphragms and filling fluid on the high and low pressure sides transmit the process pressure to the filling fluid, which then transmits the pressure to the sensing diaphragm at the center of the sensor. The sensing diaphragm is a tensioned elastic element whose displacement varies with the applied pressure (for GP gauge pressure transmitters, atmospheric pressure acts as if applied to the low-pressure side of the sensing diaphragm). Always maintain a reference pressure on the low-pressure side. The maximum displacement of the sensing diaphragm is 0.004 inches (0.1 millimeters), and the displacement is proportional to the pressure. The position of the sensing membrane is detected by the capacitive plates on both sides. The difference in capacitance between the sensing membrane and the capacitor plate is converted into corresponding current, voltage, or digital HART (High Speed Addressable Remote Transmitter Data Highway) output signals. It can be communicated on-site and remotely through the Rosemount 475 handheld device.
