335 Temperature Controller Product Introduction
With the concept of user customizable and easy-to-use, the 335 temperature controller has many functions that users can set themselves and some advanced features that serve high-end temperature controllers. The 335 temperature controller is a two channel temperature controller with user setting function. Users can set the output power of the heater of the temperature controller. The total output power of the two channel heaters is 75W, which can be set to 50W and 25W respectively, or 75W and 1W. With this function, although the instrument is small in size, it can provide relatively large power and achieve control that was not possible before.
In the control output of the temperature controller, not only hardware but also software are included, allowing users, rather than the temperature controller, to easily and conveniently control their experiments. Channel one has the ability to output current, while channel two has two output modes: voltage and current. When using voltage output mode in channel two, it not only has an analog output capability of ± 10 V, but also has a heater output capability of 1W, and can also achieve PID control capability. The alarm and delay functions can help automatically match the secondary control functions. The improved automatic adjustment function allows the 335 temperature controller to automatically search for suitable PID parameters, saving a lot of time for your experiments.
The Lake Shore 335 temperature controller from the United States can not only be used with sensors produced by Lake Shore, but also supports most industrial low-temperature sensors, including diodes, resistors, thermocouples, and other sensors. The zone function of the temperature controller allows for continuous measurement and control within the temperature range of 300mk to 1500K. When the measured temperature exceeds the measurement range of the existing sensor, the Zone function can automatically switch the sensor input channel. Users do not need to worry about temperature exceeding limits or measurement not being continuous.
The intuitive front panel layout and keyboard logic, bright vacuum fluorescent display screen, and LED lights further enhance the friendliness of the 335 temperature controller front panel operation interface. Four standard display modes, suitable for different instrument settings and specifications, to meet the preferences of different users. Users can set labels for each sensor channel to help with memory, bidding farewell to the method of labeling sensors forever, and avoiding errors in the correspondence between sensors and devices in each channel. The above functions, combined with the USB and IEEE-488 interfaces of the instrument, intuitive menu structure, and logical support, greatly improve the efficiency and ease of use of the instrument.
The Lake Shore 335 temperature controller in the United States includes standard temperature curves for silicon diodes, platinum resistors, ruthenium oxide, and thermocouple sensors. At the same time, 39 200 point Lake Shore sensor calibration curves can be inputted into the non erasable memory chip. The integrated SoftCal logic algorithm can generate temperature curves for silicon diodes and platinum resistance sensors, which can be saved as user curves. By using the Curve Handler software provided by LakeShore, the calibration data of the temperature sensor can be easily imported into the 335 temperature controller.

Temperature gauge input
The Lake Shore 335 temperature controller in the United States provides two standard sensor input channels, supporting silicon diode and resistive temperature sensors. The 3060 option card can be installed on-site, which adds the function of supporting thermocouple sensors with two channel sensor inputs. The sensor input channel adopts a high-resolution 24 bit analog-to-digital converter, and each output channel has its own independent DC power supply. The two sensor input channels are visually isolated from other circuits to reduce noise and provide repeatable sensor measurements. The reverse current eliminates the error of the thermoelectric potential of the resistance type sensor (EMF).
Ten excitation current levels enable measurement and control ranges from temperatures as low as 300mK to 420K (using appropriate negative temperature coefficient temperature sensors).
The automatic range mode can automatically change the excitation current of the negative temperature coefficient sensor, reducing measurement errors caused by thermometer self heating at low temperatures. Using silicon diode sensors or gallium aluminum arsenide sensors, the lowest temperature can be measured up to 1.4K. Once the sensor type is set on the front panel of the temperature controller, the software will select the appropriate excitation current.
In order to mention the measurement efficiency, the ZONE function can automatically switch between different sensors, so that the measurement from 300mK to 1500K can be completed continuously.

temperature control
The total power of the heater is 75W, and among such a small-sized temperature controller, 335 is the one that can provide the maximum power. Because it can provide clean heating power, precise temperature control is guaranteed throughout the entire temperature range, and the instrument provides superior measurement stability and efficiency. Two independent PID control output loops can be set to 50W and 25W or 75W and 1W. Based on the temperature setpoint and feedback temperature readings from the control sensor, the instrument can perform precise control output calculations. Therefore, the 335 temperature controller can be widely used in most low-temperature systems in laboratories and many high-temperature furnaces. PID parameters can be manually set or automatically improved through the self-tuning function.
The self-tuning function of the Lake Shore 335 temperature controller in the United States automatically calculates PID parameters and forms feedback to help establish a table for the zone. When heating up to the set point, the temperature changes smoothly, and the set point is reached in a predictable manner during the continuous change process, without worrying about temperature overshoot or spending too much stabilization time. When the measured temperature exceeds the measurement range of the input sensor, the zone tuning function of the temperature controller can automatically switch to the input sensor. This function is used in conjunction with the automatic conversion function of the excitation current of 10 sensors, allowing the 335 temperature controller to complete continuous measurements in the temperature range of 300mk to 1500K.
Both control circuits are variable DC power sources with the chassis as the reference ground. The factory default settings are 50W and 25W for output channel 1 and channel 2, respectively. In addition, output channel 2 can be set to voltage mode, which not only has an analog output capability of ± 10 V, but also a heater output capability of 1W and PID control capability when set to voltage mode. When channel 2 is in voltage mode, the maximum output power of channel 1 is 75W.
Each input channel is temperature limited to protect the instrument and external system. Once the temperature of one input channel exceeds the limit, all control channels will be automatically cut off.
interface
The Lake Shore 335 temperature controller from the United States comes standard with a serial USB interface and a parallel IEEE-488 interface. In addition to being able to collect measurement data through these interfaces, basically all functions of the instrument can be controlled through these interfaces. You can download LakeShore's Curve Handler software and connect the temperature controller to a computer through these interfaces, making it easy to write the calibration curve of the sensor into the temperature controller.
USB interface simulates RS-232 port, using a fixed 57600 baud rate. In addition, firmware updates can be downloaded through the USB interface, and the new version information of the firmware can be updated to the instrument without the need for hardware replacement.
Each input channel has high and low alarm functions to provide closed and non closed operations. The relay of 335 combines alarm function to alert the operator of faults or perform simple switch control. Relays can be independently assigned to any alarm function or manually operated.
An analog output of ± 10V can provide a voltage signal proportional to the measured temperature to a strip chart recorder or data acquisition system. Users can set the output ratio and data, including temperature or sensor units.
display
The front panel of the Lake Shore 335 temperature controller in the United States is a bright vacuum fluorescent display screen that can display four readings simultaneously. You can display two control loops, or you only need to monitor one input channel, so you can choose to display only one channel, which can display more information. Alternatively, you can customize the display mode to define the display mode and position of each channel, in order to meet the requirements of the experiment. The data from the input can be specified to be displayed at any position, and you can also add display labels to each sensor, eliminating the memory work corresponding to sensors and channels.

3060 thermocouple input card
The 3060 thermocouple input card, which can be installed on site, adds support for thermocouple sensor input to each input channel. This option card can be easily removed, but there is no need to do so. When not used to measure thermocouple sensors, each channel still has all the functionality it had before. The calibration of this option card is directly stored on this card, so one option card can be used with different 335 temperature controllers without the need for recalibration.
