The operation of the instrument is based on the basic principle of atomic emission spectroscopy analysis: when various elements that make up a substance are excited by a light source, they will emit characteristic spectra of each element. The intensity of spectral lines has a certain functional relationship with the content of elements. If the intensity values of each element's spectral lines are measured, the content of that element in the substance can be calculated.
