1、 Working principle
|
|
When lightning clouds form, an electric field (atmosphere) is generated between the clouds and the ground, with a strength of up to 5 kV/m. Thus, corona discharge begins to appear on the raised parts of the ground or metal components. When a downward leader is formed inside the lightning cloud layer, the lightning strike begins. The downward leading charge moves towards the ground in a stepped manner. The charge carried by the descending leader establishes an electric field on the ground. An upward precursor is generated from a building or object on the ground. This upstream leader propagates upwards until it converges with the downstream leader. At this point, lightning current flows through the channel formed. Other buildings on the ground may generate several ascending precursors. The first upstream leader that converges with the downstream leader determines the location of the lightning strike. The working principle of the "satellite" lightning rod for early discharge is to generate a faster upward leader than a regular lightning rod
Note: This description only describes negative downward lightning strikes, which is the only application example of the electrical geometric model. So far, this type of lightning shock is the most common occurrence.

4、 Satelit+Design Description
The installation of "satelit+" lightning rods within China must strictly comply with the mandatory provisions of the national standard of the People's Republic of China - "Code for Design of Lightning Protection of Buildings" (GB50057-94):
1. Determine the lightning protection category of the building based on the area, height, number of mine days, geographic environment correction factor, and building usage nature of the protected building. 2. Determine the selection of one or several "satellite" lightning rods based on the type of lightning protection and the area of the building. 3. The down conductor should be electrically connected to the main steel reinforcement of the building, or two or more down conductors should be made according to regulations. 4-5. The down conductor should be equipped with a disconnect card and insulated for protection on the nearby ground. 6. The grounding body and grounding resistance should comply with the requirements of GB50057-94. 7. The product has a warranty period of 20 years.

Calculation formula for protection radius:press
According to NFC17-102, the needle tip should be at least 2 meters (h1) above the level of the protected object. When the height of the lightning rod is different (h2, h3,... hn), its protection range (radius) is Rp2, Rp3... Rpn, and the calculation formula should consider the lightning protection level of the protected object, local thunderstorm activity, and geological terrain. 7、 Assembly method 1. The "satelit+" lightning rod consists of four parts: A, B, C, and D. 2. After removing each component from the packaging box, install it in the following order: 1) Loosen the two bottom parts of pulse generator C using the hex wrench in the accessory Screw. 2) Remove the three covers of the discharge tip X on the upper part of the pulse generator, and make special adjustments to X The distance between the two needle tips should not be touching, with a spacing of 1-2mm. 3) Pass the lightning rod D through C in the direction shown in the diagram, and place the head on the port of B. 4) Tighten the lightning rod tips A and D tightly, and use two wrenches to tighten them firmly. 5) Use an Allen wrench to tighten the two screws at the bottom of C, between B and C It should be supported by three pillars and firmly secured as a whole. 6) Screw the bottom of the needle into the processed lightning rod bracket.
