4. Choose the installation location

in order toAchieve optimal detection resultsThe gas detection transmitter must be installed in the correct detection position.

The following factors need to be considered comprehensively to determine the correct installation position:

1) The density of gas leakage points and the specific gravity of the measured gas,

2) The impact of surrounding buildings,

3) The age of production equipment, wind direction, and annual meteorological conditions, etc,

4) Consider the position of doors and windows indoors.

Selection guide:

A. The instrument should maintain an appropriate distance from the possible leakage point of the measured gas. Too close, the reaction speed is fast, but if there is frequent leakage, there may be too many alarms, or being in an alarm state for a long time may cause paralysis.

B. The instrument should be installed in the downwind direction of the leakage point.

C. When installing indoors, if the leakage source is outdoors, the instrument should be installed at the air inlet.

D. The installation height should be determined based on the specific gravity of the measured gas and air. When the proportion of leaked gas source is heavy, the installation height is low; When the proportion of leaked gas source is light, the installation height is higher.

E. The number of instruments should be selected based on the possible leakage points of the tested gas, the frequency and duration of personnel presence, in order to achieve the best economic effect.

F. If the equipment is outdated, consider adding more test points.

G. The instrument should be protected from radiation from high-temperature heat sources, as high or low temperatures can affect the effectiveness and lifespan of the sensor.
