Product Details

COSMIC MICROWAVE TECHNOLOGY, INC. is a research and development company dedicated to low-temperature and low-noise amplifiers, formerly known as the California Institute of Technology in the United States. Its products have excellent performance in the industry, such as low noise figure, wide frequency response range, and outstanding gain and linearity, and have a high reputation worldwide.

The GaAs series low-temperature low-noise amplifier has the following models:

1. CIT118 Cryogenic HEMT Low Noise Amplifier (0.5 to 22 GHz)

2.CIT416 Cryogenic HEMT Low Noise Amplifier (3 to 18 GHz)

3. CITCRYO1-12D Cryogenic HEMT Low Noise Amplifier (1-12 GHz)

4. CITCRYO4-12A Cryogenic HEMT Low Noise Amplifier (4-12 GHz)

Taking CIT118 Cryogenic HEMT Low Noise Amplifier as an example:

CIT118 is a GaAs HEMT low-temperature, low-noise, broadband amplifier. The amplifier requires a leakage voltage in the range of 0.6V to 1.5V and a gate voltage in the range of -3V to+1V. Each terminal Vg1 and Vg2 has an 11K DC input resistor. Please refer to the table on p. 4 for performance and bias voltage. If necessary, the gate power supply can be eliminated (by opening circuit pins Vg1 and Vg2).

When the amplifier operates at room temperature, the noise is less than 1.70dB and the gain is greater than 33dB between 0.5 and 22 GHz. Note that a negative gate power supply voltage is required at room temperature, usually -1.5V. However, if the gate voltage for low-temperature operation (usually 0V) is applied at room temperature, the amplifier will not be damaged, but the gain will be very low. The input and output return losses vary very little from 300K to 4K.
