Product Introduction:
The Pitot tube flowmeter is a differential pressure flowmeter that uses the pitot tube principle to extract the fluid flow velocity at the center of the pipeline (total pressure static pressure=dynamic pressure) and converts it into fluid volume flow rate and mass flow rate. The pitot tube principle has been widely used in the aerospace industry for a long time.
The Pitot tube flowmeter inserts the probe into the center of the pipeline, with the total pressure hole facing the incoming direction of the positive fluid and the static pressure hole facing the outgoing direction of the positive fluid. The difference between the total pressure and static pressure is the measured differential pressure at the center of the pipeline. The standard differential pressure at this point is then fitted by the wind tunnel calibration curve of the probe, and the fluid flow rate is calculated based on the standard differential pressure. At the same time, a pressure transmitter is required to measure the fluid pressure, and a thermal resistance thermometer is used to measure the fluid temperature. The standard differential pressure signal, pressure signal, and temperature signal are simultaneously introduced into a flow integrator composed of a microcontroller or directly connected to the DCS system. On the one hand, the flow equation of the probe is solved, and on the other hand, pressure and temperature compensation is performed on the steam to ensure measurement accuracy. Differential pressure, pressure, temperature, instantaneous flow rate, cumulative flow rate, heat, velocity and other parameters are displayed digitally.
Working Principle:
There are two thin tubes in the trusteeship. A pipe orifice is facing the direction of liquid flow, and after a 90 degree turn, the kinetic energy of the liquid flow is converted into potential energy. The height at which the liquid rises inside the pipe is the total water head Z+P/pg+V ^ 2/2g at that location; The opening direction of the other tube is perpendicular to the direction of the liquid flow, and only the pressure of the liquid is sensed. The height at which the liquid rises inside the tube is the head of the pressure measuring tube at that location (corresponding to the potential energy) Z+P/pg, and the height difference between the liquid levels of the two tubes is the flow velocity head V ^ 2/2g at that location. By measuring the height difference H between the liquid levels of the two tubes, V ^ 2/2g=H, that is, V=(2gH) ^ (1/2), the flow velocity V at that location can be indirectly measured.
Usage:
1. Connect the two joints on the pitot tube to the two ends of the plastic tube at will.
2. Before inserting, check if the water level inside the plastic tube is balanced. After confirmation, insert the probe into the pipeline in the direction of the gas flow, that is, the front probe is parallel to the gas flow.
3. Place the plastic tube and ruler vertically, with the eyes looking at the liquid level. The difference in liquid level between the two plastic tubes is the pressure difference, and multiplying this value by ten is the dynamic pressure (pa)
