Product Features
There are four types of PDC early discharge lightning rods (as shown in the table below), all made of stainless steel material, corresponding to different protection ranges, and each model has different performance characteristics.

Active early discharge lightning rodWorking principle of PDC series:
The PDC series lightning rod mainly absorbs and stores energy from the natural electric field through the exciter EXCITERS. The reflector Reflector and lightning rod tip have good electrical connection with the ground and are in an equipotential state. So usually, there is an electric field strength between the exciter and the emitter. Before a lightning flash occurs, the electric field strength increases rapidly, and the potential difference between the exciter and the reactor is roughly equivalent to the potential between the thunderstorm and the ground. The rapid increase in voltage drop between them will cause ignition at the tip and ionize the air around the tip, forming a tip discharge phenomenon.
Central collection rod and exciter of lightning rodThe rapid increase in electric field between ExcitERS causes ionization of the air at the tip, which can be discharged in a very short and accurate time. Due to the presence of a large number of electric ions, the natural Corona effect is reduced, creating an expected upward discharge channel that can quickly/safely intercept lightning and safely release it to the ground.

The distance of D electric shock depends on the level of the protected building. For Class I, II, and III protected objects, the D values are 20m, 45m, and 60m, respectively.
