Working principle: Determine the frost resistance of concrete specimens under water freezing and thawing conditions, expressed by the number of rapid freeze-thaw cycles they undergo.

Experimental objective: a. To confirm the frost resistance level of concrete.

Experimental procedure:

4.1. Take out 100 × 100 × 400 concrete freeze-thaw specimens with a curing period of 24 days from the curing site and soak them in water at 20 ℃. During soaking, the water surface should be 20-30mm higher than the top surface of the specimen. After reaching the age of 28 days, subsequent tests should be conducted

4.2. Remove the concrete freeze-thaw specimens that meet the requirements from the water and dry them with a damp cloth. Place the specimens that meet the specifications in the specimen bucket, and inject clean water into the specimen box to cover 5mm above the top surface of the specimens.

4.3 Place the specimen bucket into the freeze-thaw test tank, and the instrument automatically controls the repeated cooling and heating of the specimen, periodically freezing and melting the specimen.

4.4. For every 25 freeze-thaw cycles of concrete specimens, measure the weight and relative dynamic modulus of elasticity once.

4.5. After 300 freeze-thaw cycles are completed, the machine will automatically shut down and the freeze-thaw temperature curve can be downloaded from the machine to the computer for staff to view and analyze.
