The concrete penetration resistance meter is an instrument used for testing the setting time of concrete mixtures. It uses the penetration resistance method to determine the setting time of concrete, and adopts the lever principle. It is lightweight, beautiful, easy to read, and very accurate.

Operation Instructions:

1. Place the instrument on a horizontal platform.

2. Connect the power supply, press the "Power" button on the digital display panel, and the digital display window will show the digits. Please power on for 10 minutes and let the digital value automatically approach "0".

3. Install a suitable penetration needle. 350N corresponds to initial set penetration resistance (i.e. 2-3.5Mpa, using a 100 mm2 penetration needle at this time); 1000N corresponds to the middle penetration resistance (i.e. 3.5~20Mpa, using a 50 mm2 penetration needle at this time); 560N corresponds to the final set penetration resistance (i.e. 20-28Mpa, using a 20mm2 penetration needle at this time).

4. Fill the mold with the concrete sample to be tested, smooth it out, and place it on the bottom plate of the instrument.

5. Adjust the penetration depth.

One method of using a concrete penetration resistance meter is to first measure the distance X between the lower end face of the penetration needle and the upper plane of the specimen (note: X should not be greater than 5mm, otherwise the penetration needle needs to be adjusted appropriately), then adjust the distance between the lower plane of the fixed length nut on the top of the instrument and the upper plane of the "cover" to 25+Xmm, and then tighten the screw cover to lock the 25+X length.

Another method is to press down the handle so that the lower end surface of the penetration probe is flush with the upper plane of the test sample, and then adjust the fixed length nut on the upper part of the instrument so that the distance between the lower plane and the upper plane of the "cover" is adjusted to 25 mm, lock this length, and then release the handle.

The actual penetration depth of the above two methods is 25mm.

6. Testing. First, press the reset button on the digital display panel to clear the initial value of the sensor, that is, reset it to zero. Press the test button again to enter the working test state, and at the same time, the first light (test light) on the digital display board will light up. Hold the handle and rotate it downwards to make the penetration needle contact the sample until it reaches the deepest position (25mm). The process should be controlled for about 10 seconds. At this time, a peak value appears in the digital display, and the second light (peak light) on the digital display board lights up. Read the display value of the digital display, make a record, and complete the test in one go.

At the initial setting, use a 1 cm2 penetration needle, and the calculation formula is: P=N ÷ 100 (MPa);

At the final setting, use a 0.2 cm2 penetration needle, and the calculation formula is: P=5 N ÷ 100 (MPa).
