Module configuration method

As an advanced CL system with high performance and versatility, it is difficult to explain oneself clearly due to its flexibility. Today, I will try to disassemble myself from the aspects of optical path and detector hardware, so that you can fully understand the various possibilities of configuration.


The blue magic box can hold many functional components. The advantage of adopting modular design is that you can decide according to your actual needs, and you can also freely upgrade and add the desired functional modules in the future.


Structurally, it is generally divided into 5 parts (the collection mirror part inside the vacuum chamber is not discussed today, although it has excellent automatic alignment and ultra-high efficiency...)

  1. Optical module

  2. Grating grating

  3. Detector detectors

  4. Optical Processing Optics

  5. Install modules for other functions

  1. Optical module

    There are two slots here that can accommodate two optical modules at the same time (of course, you can purchase more modules at once as they can be replaced by yourself). Plug and play is like inserting a USB, the system automatically connects to the electrical system and identifies the module ID. After automatically calibrating the optical components, the system can immediately start working.

    1. Optical module docking station 1Integrated electric optical components, including built-in calibration light source and alignment device, to achieve CL focusing on the detector.

    2. Optional modules optimized for different frequency bands:

      UV: 185-600nm

      VIS-NIR:400-1000nm

      NIR:800-1700nm*

      *It can be customized and expanded to a wider frequency range as needed, such as MIR.

    3. Optical module docking station 2

      Optional functional modules:

      PMT photomultiplier tube module-Intensity mapping imaging (185-870nm, FOV 1.5x1.5mm, equipped with 8-station electric filtering wheel and RGB)

      Fiber optic coupling moduleCoupling to external large optical fibers or time-resolved CL modules through optical fibers.

      Self developed moduleReserved, you can develop features with your own special needs. The native software of the system is open-source in Python, making it more convenient for your secondary development.


    4. Dual mode expansion dock

      Some functions need to be installed in the modules of docking stations 1 and 2Electric driven functional componentsAnd collaborate to work together. For simplicity of description, we will name it dual-mode group.

      You just need to inform us of the functional requirements, and we will take care of everything.

      High precision polarization imaging

  2. Grating grating

    Grating tower structure design, plug and play. Each grating tower can accommodate 2 gratings, with built-in RFID and automatic recognition and control by system software.

    Choose grating specifications and quantity as needed.

  3. Detector detectors

    The blue box comes with a 193mm focal length spectrometer and provides two detector interfaces for installing area array cameras.

    detector1, The system comes with a standard sCMOS camera for precise focusing and visible light spectral imaging analysis of the semi parabolic collection mirror.

    If two detectors are not enough to cover the frequency range you need, you can also combine a fiber coupling module, an external spectrometer, and the detector you want to further expand.

  4. Optical Reflection Processing Optics

    In order to achieve maximum reflectivity, surface coating treatment is required for the spectral device.

    Conventional standards use aluminum (Al). If you only care about visible and near-infrared bands (VIS-NIR), you can also choose silver (Ag) coating to further enhance reflectivity.

    Of course, everything needs to be balanced. Ag strongly absorbs in the UV band, so if you need to use the<380nm band, you need to consider it carefully
