Function and application areasSurge protector MC 125-B/NPE is a spark gap protector designed for use between neutral wire (N) and protective earth (PE), and can be used in TN-S, TT, and IT systems. The two spark gaps are located inside the device and consist of three high-energy graphite electrode disks. The highly heat-resistant PTFE spacer ring reliably ensures a precise safety distance within the spark gap.
This surge protector meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0675 Part 6 (Draft 11.89) A1 and A2 for Class B devices, as well as the requirements of IEC 61643-1 (02.98) for Class I lightning surge protectors. This device is designed for use between Zone 0 and Zone 1 (according to the definition of lightning protection zone in IEC 61312-1).
For lightning protection installation projects in buildings or other places where power is introduced through overhead lines, MC 125-B/NPE is used in conjunction with lightning surge protector MC 50-B VDE to provide equipotential connection for lightning protection.
installThe shell size of the lightning surge protector MC 125-B/NPE meets the requirement of a space saving 17.5mm width modulus, making the device easy to install. The easy installation of this SPD is achieved by clamping the surge protector itself onto a 35mm rail. MC 125-B/NPE provides two terminals for the N line and PE line respectively. Facilitating the Kevin connection between SPD and the circuit.
