Application and Introduction of Redwood Microwave Drying Equipment:
Microwave drying of wood for shaping, mold prevention, and insecticide control is a new technology. Redwood microwave drying equipment is widely used in industries such as wood, furniture, wooden flooring, plywood, and artificial boards for wood drying. Due to deformation, cracking, and mold decay during conventional drying, a large amount of waste is caused; Microwave drying machines have a series of advantages such as uniform heating, fast drying speed, no deformation, no cracking, anti moth and anti mold properties, good product quality, and are conducive to continuous and automated production.
The unique feature of microwave drying of wood is that the heat is not transmitted from the surface of the object, but is directly heated by the absorption of moisture and the wood itself through the interior of the material by microwaves. Due to the evaporation of surface moisture, the internal temperature of the material is higher than the surface temperature. This creates an outward pressure difference inside the material, accelerating the surface migration of moisture. Microwave drying of wood is a process in which wet wood is used as a dielectric. Under the action of a microwave electromagnetic field, water molecules in the wet wood undergo hydration. Due to the frequent alternation of the electromagnetic field, the water molecules undergo vigorous movement, generating heat through friction and drying the wood. Microwaves act directly inside the dried wood, which is called "heat transfer". The time required for "heat transfer" is not related to the thickness of the wood, but to the electric field strength, microwave frequency, and dielectric properties of the wood. When microwaves act on wood, when the temperature inside the wood is above 100 ℃, excessive water vapor pressure is generated in the wood, accelerating the movement of water molecules. So the speed of microwave drying of wood is much higher than that of convection drying (natural drying, steam drying, infrared drying, etc.).
Microwave drying of wood generally uses a microwave frequency of 915 MHz with a penetration depth of 80-150mm, while a microwave frequency of 2450 MHz with a penetration depth of 50-120mm can fully meet the requirements of processed finished wood. For different yield sizes and drying requirements, different forms of microwave wood drying equipment can be selected; For various types of wood with different properties, it is necessary to select appropriate microwave heating speeds to achieve optimal process conditions and obtain good benefits.
