Machining parts on vertical CNC machine tools mainly depends on the machining program. Unlike ordinary machine tools, it does not require manufacturing, changing many molds and fixtures, and does not require frequent readjustment of the machine tool. Therefore, vertical CNC machine tools are suitable for places where the processed parts are frequently changed, that is, suitable for the consumption of single pieces, small batch products, and new products, thereby shortening the consumption preparation cycle and saving a lot of process equipment costs.
The machining accuracy of vertical CNC machine tools can generally reach 0.05-0.1mm. Vertical CNC machine tools are controlled by digital signals. When the CNC installation outputs a pulse signal, the moving parts of the machine tool move by a pulse equivalent (usually 0.001mm). Moreover, the reverse clearance of the machine tool feed transmission chain and the uniform error of the screw pitch can be compensated by the CNC installation stop curve. Therefore, the positioning accuracy of vertical CNC machine tools is relatively high.
Vertical CNC machine tools can reduce the processing time and auxiliary time of parts. The spindle speed and feed rate range of vertical CNC machine tools are large, allowing the machine tool to stop cutting with large cutting amounts. Vertical CNC machine tools are entering the era of high-speed machining, and the movement and positioning of moving parts and high-speed cutting processing of vertical CNC machine tools have greatly improved the consumption rate. In addition, when used in conjunction with the tool magazine of the machining center, continuous processing of multiple processes can be stopped on one machine tool, reducing the turnover time between processes for semi-finished products and improving consumption rates.
Before processing, the vertical CNC machine tool is adjusted, input the program and start, and the machine tool will automatically stop processing continuously until it is completed. The operator only needs to do tasks such as program input, editing, part loading and unloading, tool preparation, observation of machining status, and inspection of parts. The labor intensity is greatly reduced, and the labor of machine tool operators tends towards intellectual work. In addition, machine tools are usually separated, which is both clean and safe.
