Electromagnetic flowmeter dry calibration test qualified belongs to China

In Shanghai, under the guidance of Russian experts, China successfully used the dry label device (POTOK-T) of the electromagnetic flowmeter provided by the Russian side to perform dry label testing on the 300mm diameter straight through electromagnetic flowmeter of Shanghai Weltai, which passed the wet label test. The consistency between the dry label results and the wet label results is very good, with the largest error being 0.33%.

The dry calibration technology of flow meters, as a technique that can achieve flow meter calibration without the need for actual fluid, has always been highly regarded in the industry. Ultrasonic flowmeter, differential pressure flowmeter, vortex flowmeter, and electromagnetic flowmeter are considered as four types of dry calibration flowmeters due to their good traceability of measurement principles. However, due to the high consistency requirements of the corresponding flowmeter products for dry calibration technology, only a few developed industrial countries have conducted corresponding research.

At present, Japan has successfully achieved the industrial application of dry calibration technology for vortex flowmeters and established the corresponding industrial standard "Measurement Method for Vortex Flowmeters". In the field of electromagnetic flow meters, the consistency of products between the UK and Russia is good, so the research on dry calibration methods is also relatively extensive. Among them, Russia has successfully achieved industrial application of dry calibration technology for electromagnetic flow meters.
