The EEC-16 XB adopts the sound pulse detection method, and its principle is that when a series of sound waves propagate along the pipe, if there are openings, holes, bulges, depressions, cracks, internal corrosion, and deposits in the pipe, there will be reflected waves returning to the emitting end. Since the propagation speed of sound waves is fixed, the specific location of the pipe abnormality can be accurately obtained through computer system processing. EEC-16 XB has been used in Daya Bay Nuclear Power Station, Nuclear Engineering Department Testing Center, China Special Equipment Testing and Research Institute, Xi'an Thermal Power Institute, East China North China Guangdong Jiangsu Hunan Henan Jilin Electric Power Science Research Institute, and Hong Kong Anjie Co., Ltd.
