Electrode method total nitrogen sensor
The frog vision total nitrogen sensor can be equipped with up to 4 electrochemical electrodes, including a reference electrode, pH electrode, NH4+electrode, and NO3- measuring electrode. All electrodes support user on-site replacement and can automatically compensate for ammonia nitrogen (NH4-N), nitrate nitrogen, and total nitrogen values through NO3-, NH4+, pH, and temperature.
Advantages and characteristics:
The sample does not require pre-treatment and is suitable for uninterrupted online monitoring
Self developed NH4+, NO3- ion electrode and polyester liquid bonded reference electrode (unconventional porous liquid bonded)
• Longer lifespan, smaller drift, and short-term dry storage.
RS485 output, supporting Modbus RTU protocol.
Built in isolator for better anti-interference capability.
• Support water leakage alarm.
Waterproof rating IP68
Note: Ionic electrodes are only suitable for freshwater applications and are not suitable for seawater and aquaculture.
Electrode method total nitrogen sensor
Precautions for on-site installation:
1. On site, depending on the actual situation, the sensor can be fixed with a 6-point (3/4 NPT) thread or installed with accessory brackets, or other installation methods that can fix the sensor.
2. Fixed installation is preferred for installation, and drag chain installation is prohibited.
3. During installation, full consideration should be given to changes in water flow and liquid level to ensure that the electrochemical components of the sensor come into contact with water. The sensor should be placed 10cm or deeper underwater.
4. The shielded wire needs to be grounded together with the equipment, and the sensor does not support hot swapping.
5. Avoid high-power electrical and high-voltage cables in the water.
6. Before use, remove the storage cap. It is recommended to soak the sensor in tap water overnight before use.
Calibration:
1. The product has been calibrated before leaving the factory.
2. Support user 1-point or 2-point calibration interface, slope K and offset B. That is, Y=K * X+B, where Y is the user reading and X is the original measurement value of the sensor. The factory default is K=1 and B=0. Please refer to the company's videos and documents for detailed calibration methods and steps.
Storage and usage precautions:
1. Short term storage: Store in dry air and soak overnight in tap water or activation solution before use.
2. Long term storage: The ion electrode should be stored in dry air, while the reference and pH electrodes should be kept moist (it is recommended to use saturated KCL solution and deionized water is prohibited).
3. Soak the electrode in water overnight before use.
4. Avoid using in water containing organic solvents.
Note: For the NO2-N (nitrite nitrogen) compensation coefficient and ON (organic nitrogen) compensation coefficient, as well as the comparison calibration method between total nitrogen and potassium persulfate spectrophotometry, please contact us.
