1. Single phase plugs and sockets for household and similar purposes are divided into two basic types: two pole ungrounded and two pole grounded.

2. The form, basic parameters, and dimensions of single-phase plugs and sockets for household and similar purposes shall comply with the provisions of Figures 1-5 and Tables 1-5.

3. Check the dimensions of single-phase plugs and sockets for household and similar purposes, using the gauges specified in Figures 6-18 and Tables 6-18, and a vernier caliper with a division value of 0.02mm. Measure the size of the rounded part of the plug end with an appropriate measuring tool. The insertion force of the gauge should not exceed the pull-out force specified in GB2099.1. The form and position tolerances of the gauges, such as parallelism, perpendicularity, and symmetry, are in accordance with the tolerance level H specified in GB/T 1184.

4. The shape of the plug is not specified, but the distance between the plug pin and the edge should not be less than 6.5mm.

5. The distance between the socket (excluding the grounding socket) in a single-phase socket and the mating surface should not be less than the safe distance. These dimensions should be inspected using the gauges specified in Figure 12, Table 12, Figure 16, and Table 16 respectively.

6. The type, parameters, and dimensions of a single-phase two pole ungrounded plug with a rated current of 16A should be the same as those of a single-phase two pole grounded plug with a rated current of 16A, but it should be made into a non rewirable plug. The grounding pin is located at the protective door drive plate, black in color, does not connect wires, and is not marked with a grounding symbol. It is only used as a driving device to open the protective door when plugged into the socket.
