The HCC-24 magnetoresistance thickness gauge is a portable measuring instrument powered by batteries, which can quickly and non destructively measure the thickness of non-magnetic coatings on the surface of magnetic materials. For example, copper, zinc, cadmium, chromium coatings, and paint coatings on iron and steel. Due to the application of integrated circuits and microprocessors, this instrument has the advantages of simple operation, convenient use, good stability, and high measurement accuracy. The instrument has mathematical and statistical functions, which can directly display the number of measurements, the maximum and minimum values of the average. This instrument uses the principle of electromagnetic induction for measurement and complies with ISO2178 and GB/T4956. When the probe comes into contact with the cover layer, the probe and the magnetic substrate form a closed magnetic circuit. Due to the presence of the non-magnetic cover layer, the magnetic resistance of the magnetic circuit increases, and the magnitude of the magnetic resistance is proportional to the thickness of the cover layer. By measuring the magnetic resistance, analyzing and processing it through a computer, the measured value is directly displayed on a liquid crystal display.
