Instrument Introduction:

The WMG-I Michelson interferometer is an experimental instrument independently developed by our company. It is carefully designed by drawing on the classic design of traditional interferometers and combining it with a new platform structure. Used to observe various interference phenomena of light and verify related basic theories, the Fabry Paul interferometer device can also observe multiple beam interference sharp rings, measure wavelength differences between adjacent spectral lines, etc. It is the equipment for Michelson interference experiments.

Adopting a brand new platform structure, it is convenient to add the tested substance in the optical path.

The open space makes it very easy to adjust the variations of equal thickness interference, equal tilt interference, and various fringes, making it convenient for various measurements.

Experimental content:

1. Non local interference of observation point light source (standard He Ne laser)

2. Observe the equal tilt interference fringes (requires additional low-pressure sodium lamp)

3. Observe the interference fringes of equal thickness (additional low-pressure sodium lamp is required)

4. Observe the white light interference phenomenon (additional white light source is required)

5. Determine the wavelength of the light source or filter (equipped with a He Ne laser as standard or a low-pressure sodium lamp separately)

6. Measure the wavelength difference of sodium yellow dual line (requires additional low-pressure sodium lamp)

7. Measure the refractive index of transparent medium sheets (transparent medium sheets need to be prepared)

8. Optional experimental measurement of transparent gas refractive index (requires additional glass chamber)

9. Optional experiment to observe the interference phenomenon of Fabry Perot (additional Fabry Perot standard tool is required)
