Example 1: Implement Siemens S71500, S71200, S300/400 PLCs to read MODBUS instrument data.
The GRM330 module network port can support S71500, S71200, S300/400 PLC S7 network port protocols, and the serial port can support MODBUS protocol.
PLC does not need to add any programs. After the module reads the MODBUS instrument, it can be forwarded to the corresponding register area of S7 1500, S71200, S300/400 PLC through the network port.
It is also possible to achieveThe data of S71500, S71200, S300/400 PLCs is transmitted to other devices through Modbus
Example 2: Implement communication between Siemens S7 1500 and AB 1756 series PLCs.
The module network port can support both the 1500 S7 network protocol and the AB 1756 Ethernet IP protocol simultaneously.
PLC does not need to add any programs, the module reads AB PLC through the network port and forwards it to the register area corresponding to 1500.
It can also read 1500 data and forward it to AB PLC to achieve bidirectional data exchange between the two.

Giant control gateway application:
Scenario A: Siemens 1500 needs to collect data from multiple frequency converters and instruments
Application difficulties: Writing polling programs is complex, collection speed is slow, and using a single serial port causes significant on-site interference
Giant control solution: using GRM300 series gateway, up to 5 isolated serial ports for parallel acquisition of frequency converters and instruments

The network port is directly connected to a 1500 PLC, and no code needs to be added to the PLC
Simply configure the gateway to complete automatic data transmission to the designated data area
Scenario B: The upper computer WINCC needs to collect data from multiple frequency converters and instruments
Application difficulties: The upper computer does not support MODBUS, resulting in slow acquisition speed, long distance, multiple devices, and significant on-site interference

Giant control solution: using GRM300 series gateway, up to 5 isolated serial ports for parallel acquisition of frequency converters and instruments
The gateway network port is directly connected to WINCC and converted to OPCSERVER protocol, and WINCC can obtain data.
Scenario C: Data exchange is required between AB PLC and Mitsubishi Q PLC
Application difficulties: Different communication protocols, located in different IP segments, PLC passive program modification
Giant control solution: Use GRM300 series gateway, with 2 network ports connected to 1756 and Mitsubishi Q respectively

The gateway is equipped with various PLC protocols
PLC does not need to add any code, simply configure the gateway to complete data exchange
Scenario D: The touch screen needs to be connected to multiple frequency converters, PLCs, and instruments
Application difficulties: Different communication protocols, multiple points, slow collection speed from multiple slave stations, and significant interference
Giant control solution: using GRM300 series gateway, all 5 isolated serial ports can be connected to frequency converters and instruments, PLC

The network port can also be connected to various PLCs,
At the same time, the network port is converted to a MODBUS TCP slave, and the address is mapped to a continuous address for touch screen reading and control.
Scenario E: The factory information platform needs to obtain various PLC data
Application difficulties: Different communication protocols, IT developers are not familiar with PLC communication, there are many points, and the collection speed is slow
Giant control solution: using GRM300 series gateway, all 5 isolated serial ports can be connected to frequency converters and instruments, PLC
The gateway network port can also be connected to various PLCs

The gateway network port supports WebService interface, and platform developers do not need to understand any PLC communication details
Can read and write PLC data directly in the simplest way possible
Scenario F: MODBUS slave stations need to be simultaneously collected and accessed by multiple master stations
Application difficulty: MODBUS slave station cannot achieve simultaneous acquisition of multiple master stations
Giant control solution: using GRM300 series gateway, multiple MODBUS slave stations can be connected with 2 serial ports to collect data
Then configure the other three serial ports as MODBUS slave stations for forwarding, allowing multiple master stations to collect data simultaneously
