Instrument Introduction

The RHA-SY-S02 plant chlorophyll analyzer can measure the relative chlorophyll content (in SPAD) or "greenness" of plants in real time, which can understand the true nitrate demand of plants and help you understand the degree of soil nitrate deficiency or whether excessive nitrogen fertilizer is applied. You can use this instrument to increase the utilization rate of nitrogen fertilizer and protect the environment (preventing excessive nitrogen fertilizer from contaminating the environment, especially water sources).

working principle

Two LED light sources emit two types of light, one is red light (650nm) and the other is infrared light (940nm). The two types of light penetrate the blades and hit the receiver. The light signal is converted into an analog signal, which is amplified by an amplifier and converted into a digital signal by an analog/digital converter. The digital signal is processed by a microprocessor to calculate the SPAD value and displayed on the LCD screen.

(1) Calibration and calculation of chlorophyll meter measurement values: Two LEDs emit light in sequence, and the received light is converted into an electrical signal. The ratio of light intensity is used for calculation.
(2) After clamping the sample with the pressure head, the two LEDs emit light again, and the light transmitted through the blades hits the receiver, which is converted into an electrical signal. The intensity ratio of the transmitted light is calculated.

(3) The values of steps 1 and 2 are used to calculate the SPAD measurement value, which represents the current relative chlorophyll content of the clamped sample leaves.
