  • Working principle of plasma emission detector (PED)
  • The plasma emission detector is a highly sensitive universal detector with a uniquely designed quartz chamber loaded with high-frequency and high-voltage electric fields inside. When a gas sample passes through a quartz chamber, it is ionized by a high-voltage generator, producing a fluorescence phenomenon called electroluminescence and emitting characteristic spectral lines. The emission spectral lines change with different substances in the carrier gas, and this light emission technique is used for quantitative analysis of the sample.
