1、 Overview of plug-in vortex flowmeter products
The LUCB plug-in vortex flowmeter adopts the International Organization for Standardization IS07145 (Measurement of fluid flow in a closed circular cross-section pipeline - Velocity measurement method at a point in the cross-section), and uses a vortex flowmeter probe embedded with a piezoelectric crystal. It is inserted into a large-diameter industrial pipeline and converts the Karman vortex frequency into a current or voltage pulse signal proportional to the flow rate or a 4-20mA current signal as shown in Figure 1.

2、 Advantages of plug-in vortex flowmeter technology
1. The structure is simple and sturdy, with no movable parts, high reliability, and easy to use and maintain.
2. The detection element does not come into contact with the medium, with stable performance and long service life. The sensor is installed separately from the vortex generator using a detection probe, and a high-temperature resistant piezoelectric crystal is sealed inside the detection probe, which does not come into contact with the measured medium. Therefore, the vortex flowmeter has the characteristics of simple structure, good universality, and high stability.
3. Output pulse signals or analog signals proportional to the flow rate, without zero drift, high accuracy, and convenient networking with computers
4. Wide measurement range, with a range ratio of up to 1:10
5. When measuring volumetric flow rate with a vortex flowmeter, no compensation is required. The signal output by the vortex flowmeter is actually linearly related to the flow rate, that is, directly proportional to the volumetric flow rate. The purpose of pressure and temperature compensation is to obtain the density of the fluid, which is multiplied by the volumetric flow rate to obtain the mass flow rate. If measuring the volumetric flow rate of a gas, compensation is not required.
6. Low pressure loss.
7. Within a certain Reynolds number range, the flow characteristics are not affected by fluid pressure, temperature, viscosity, density, or composition, but only by the shape and size of the vortex generator.
8. Widely applicable, capable of measuring the flow rates of steam, gas, and liquid.
9. The sensor of the plug-in vortex flowmeter has strong universality, which makes the sensor have good interchangeability. Advanced CNC equipment is used to process the sensor body and vortex generator to ensure processing accuracy, thereby making the components (especially the vortex generator) highly versatile, and truly ensuring that the repeatability and accuracy of the sensor will not be affected by the replacement of components; Capable of generating strong and stable vortex signals.

2. Installation of shrink tubing

For large caliber and small flow, it is necessary to install a reduction pipe, while ensuring that the front straight pipe section of the flowmeter is ≥ 15D and the rear straight pipe section is ≥ 5D

3. Installation of bent pipes

If the front end of the flowmeter has a 90 ° elbow or T-shaped joint, it is necessary to ensure that the front straight pipe section of the flowmeter is ≥ 15D and the rear straight pipe section is ≥ 5D

4. Installation of two bent pipes on the same plane

If there are two 90 ° elbows at the front end of the flowmeter, it is necessary to ensure that the front straight pipe section of the flowmeter is ≥ 20D and the rear straight pipe section is ≥ 5D

5. Installation of two curved pipes in different planes

If there are two 90 ° elbows at the front end of the flowmeter, it is necessary to ensure that the front straight pipe section of the flowmeter is ≥ 25D and the rear straight pipe section is ≥ 5D

6. Installation of regulating valve

If regulating valves need to be installed before and after the flowmeter, it is necessary to ensure that the front straight pipe section of the flowmeter is ≥ 25D and the rear straight pipe section is ≥ 5D
