The SF6 gas leakage monitoring and alarm system in the GIS room of the 500kV station adopts infrared quantitative detection sensors as the core components, which can accurately monitor the SF6 content in the air and display the ppm value accurately. When the SF6 gas concentration in the switch room exceeds the set value of 1000ppm, the system displays and records the concentration exceeding the standard information, and automatically starts the sound and light alarm. At the same time, it controls the fan to start ventilation (linked with the on-site fan). After the SF6 gas concentration in the air returns to normal, the fan continues to ventilate for 15 minutes and then automatically shuts off.

1. SF6 gas concentration online monitoring and over limit alarm

SF6 gas detection uses infrared quantitative detection sensors as the core component, which can accurately monitor the SF6 content in the air and display the ppm value accurately. When the SF6 gas concentration in the switch room exceeds the set value of 1000ppm, the system displays and records the concentration exceeding the standard information, and automatically starts the sound and light alarm. At the same time, it controls the fan to start ventilation (linked with the on-site fan). After the SF6 gas concentration in the air returns to normal, the fan continues to ventilate for 15 minutes and then automatically shuts off.

2. Online detection and over limit alarm of oxygen concentration content

Using a sensitive oxygen sensor as the core component, it can continuously monitor the oxygen content in the air and accurately display the oxygen value. When the oxygen concentration in the switch room is ≤ 18%, the system displays accurate concentration information and records it. The system also starts the automatic sound and light alarm subsystem and controls the fan to start ventilation (linked with the on-site fan). After the oxygen concentration in the air returns to normal, the fan continues to ventilate for 15 minutes before automatically shutting down.

3. Infrared detection and voice prompts for working status function

The system can detect any worker who wants to enter the switch room. When the human body approaches within 3 meters of the studio door, the system will provide voice prompts for the current environmental status of the switch room and inform them to perform ventilation operations.

4. Temperature and humidity measurement range and accuracy

Temperature measurement range: -25~60 ℃ Detection accuracy: ± 0.5 ℃

Humidity measurement range: 1-99% RH detection accuracy: ± 3% RH, no condensation

5. Automatic and manual switching of ventilation, manual forced exhaust function

The system has manual and automatic ventilation functions. The timed ventilation function allows for adjustable duration of timed exhaust, with a default of 15 minutes, and is linked to the on-site fan control box.

The system has records of fan start, stop, and alarm, and historical data can be recorded and saved.

6. Multi regional monitoring

To meet the actual monitoring needs on site, up to multiple areas can be tested simultaneously. One host system can access 64 monitoring points to meet the needs of different on-site environments and improve the reliability of detection.

7. Communication interface

The device has a remote communication interface (RS485) communication method, which can facilitate users to remotely monitor, alarm, and control functions. The communication interface meets the Modbus RTU protocol, can achieve protocol conversion, and can be connected to the comprehensive automation equipment and centralized control center of the booster station.
