Measuring principle
The tuning fork level controller is a mechanical resonant switch that is excited and maintains the vibration of piezoelectric oscillators by a circuit unit to transfer and convert energy. When the measured medium comes into contact with the end of the tuning fork body, vibration attenuation will occur, and the change in vibration intensity will be sensed by the circuit unit. After a few seconds of time delay, a circuit output will be generated to achieve the control effect of the system.
Product Features
★The tuning fork level controller is an industrial instrument used to control the height and position of materials in tanks and warehouses.
★It is suitable for measuring liquids, powders, and small solid particles.
★It has strong adaptability to working conditions and is not affected by medium disturbance, electrical parameters, solid gas composition and foam.
★Low cost, maintenance free, and no need for complex on-site calibration.
★High power and super strong amplitude.
★The case can rotate freely (maximum rotation angle of 300 °).

install
Before installation The appropriate sample medium should be selected first to check the switching characteristics of the tuning fork. (A tuning fork cannot work in media with very low density, as well as in media with large particles or extremely low friction.)
Warning! Be careful when operating the tuning fork, especially the probe part. Any collision at the probe site may result in its damage.
If the working probe is exposed to falling media or has additional mechanical loads, a protective cover should be installed (see figure).

Tighten the tuning fork through the hexagonal neck. After the tightening process, the shell can rotate freely (up to 300 °) to adjust the cable sealing sleeve to the desired position. In a simple container, due to the curved surface of the medium, the installation position of the tuning fork needs to be offset to ensure that the tuning fork can correctly output the switch signal.

For powder position detection, the tuning fork should be installed at a very inclined angle (or vertically when detecting at a high position) to avoid powder deposition on the vibrating rod, reduce self-cleaning effect, and avoid installation in recessed areas of the wall. (See figure)
When the container to be installed experiences strong vibration, necessary measures should be taken to attenuate the vibration on the tuning fork (such as using glue to attenuate the vibration).
Electrical connection

When using DC24V DC power supply, terminal 3 is the positive pole of the power supply and terminal 2 is the negative pole of the power supply.
adjust
Open the upper cover of the housing to expose the connection terminal and the adjustable dip switch. Once properly installed and wired, the tuning fork can function.
The LED light emitting tube indicates the output switch status of the tuning fork. The density switch (switch A) should be set to match the density of the medium.
Low position, recommended for soft and light media with a density below 0.15g/cm3. The tuning fork operates with a small amplitude and has high detection sensitivity.
High position, recommended for thick and heavy media with a density higher than 0.15g/cm3. The tuning fork works with strong amplitude and has low detection sensitivity.
To obtain the FAIL SAFE reward (dip switch C), the disabled or open circuit state of the tuning fork output should be used as the alarm output signal. At this time, the power outage signal of the tuning fork will also be used as the alarm signal. The delay time (dip switch B) can be selected to adapt to the relevant process control technology.
Maintenance and repair
The tuning fork level controller does not require maintenance when used under normal conditions. However At a certain period, the vibrating part needs to clear the medium deposition on it. This needs to be done gently without damaging the vibrating parts of the vibrating rod. The manufacturer is responsible for warranty during and after the warranty period.
