Background and Challenges
With the rapid increase in car ownership, the contradiction between urban cars and parking spaces has become increasingly prominent. In cities where every inch of land is valuable, underground parking lots and multi-level above ground parking lots, which occupy less land and have larger capacity, are becoming the main means of alleviating urban parking pressure. However, unfortunately, most of the on-site parking lots in China are still in the primitive stage of manual management, which has caused great difficulties for both car owners who need to park and parking lot operators.
The urgent problems that need to be solved in the current parking lot are:
1. After entering the parking lot, the car owner doesn't know where there are available parking spaces;
2. When the car owner returns to the parking lot to pick up the car, they cannot find their beloved vehicle in a timely manner;
3. When common parking scratches or even broken windows occur in the parking lot, it is difficult to immediately identify the source of responsibility;
4. Managers cannot obtain real-time information on the occupancy of parking spaces in the parking lot, resulting in low utilization of the parking lot;
5. During peak hours, managers need to dispatch a large number of staff for manual guidance, which is inefficient and costly;
6. Managers are unable to collect real-time usage data of parking spaces within the parking lot.
In response to the above challenges, a parking guidance and reverse car search system has been specially developed. By using this system, the intelligence and informatization level of the entire parking lot can be improved, and problems that originally required manual processing can be handled by intelligent devices, which not only saves a lot of labor costs but also ensures the timely, accurate, and effective processing of various data. By enhancing the car owner experience, car owners are more likely to have a good impression of the entire parking lot.

Solution

The system adopts a 1.3 million high-definition parking space integrated machine to monitor the real-time status information of parking spaces. The parking space integrated machine transmits the data information to multiple video terminals for processing, identifies the parking space status and license plate information, and transmits these information to the server for unified management.
The server will send the updated data of the processed empty parking spaces to the LED parking guidance screen for display, thereby achieving the parking guidance function.
When the car owner inputs their car license plate through the parking query machine installed at the entrance of the parking lot, the touch screen will receive the command and retrieve the data from the server, and display the map of the parking lot where the car owner is currently located on the screen. The map will indicate the car owner's location and the location where their vehicle is parked, and select the best pick-up route based on the overall route of the parking lot to display on the parking lot map, thereby guiding the car owner to pick up the car.
