During the operation of the 50 meter bridge erecting machine, the front and rear legs play a load-bearing role. The box girder is transported to the belly of the erecting machine by the beam transport trolley. After the middle and front legs are loaded, the rear leg is unloaded, and the crane lifts the beam transport trolley. Then, the longitudinal crane is used to make way for the space of the concrete box girder to be erected.

Six support points are set up between the land and one pier and the second pier of the bridge, and the prefabricated beams are transported from the prefabrication plant to the land and one pier for placement. Then, the beams are placed between one pier and the second pier through a conveying mechanism. Generally, several beams form a bridge deck, and once a bridge deck is erected, the gantry crane can be moved to the next step between one pier and the second pier.

The whole machine adopts walking and guiding through the hole, relying on the driving of the crane to move the support legs forward, without the need to configure longitudinal movement power of the support legs. The hydraulic motor drives the drum, and the whole machine moves horizontally. The control system of the machine is controlled by a programmable controller.

The bridge erecting machine consists of two parts, namely the beam transport and erection machine and the lower guide beam machine. The beam transport and erection machine is responsible for taking source beams from the beam making yard and lifting them to the bridge construction site to cooperate with the lower guide beam machine for bridge construction. After the bridge construction is completed, the lower guide beam machine will automatically change the position of its support legs in order to proceed to the next cycle of operation. The wheelset of the bridge erecting machine can turn 90 degrees in place.

50 metersSafety Operation Regulations for Bridge Building Machinery

1. The longitudinal running track of the bridge erecting machine requires a corresponding horizontal height on both sides to maintain stability. The horizontal running tracks of the front, middle, and rear legs must be horizontal and the spacing must be strictly controlled. The three tracks must be parallel.

2. When installing concrete beams for diagonal bridges, the positions of the front, middle, and rear leg walking wheels of the bridge erecting machine should be staggered, and the distance between the left and right wheels should be calculated based on the diagonal angle, so that the leg wheels can run on the same horizontal track (please contact the manufacturing unit for specific matters).

3. All preparations must be made for the longitudinal movement of the bridge erecting machine, and it is required to be in place at once without stopping halfway.

4. When the gantry crane carrying the concrete beam runs longitudinally, the front support legs are required to be tightened and fixed with a chain block (5t) and the transverse track to enhance stability.

5. When installing a bridge with vertical slopes, measures should be taken to prevent the longitudinal displacement of the bridge erecting machine from sliding. For example, using triangular iron blocks for protection in front and behind the wheels, especially when the middle leg is very close to the beam end, attention should be paid to control when shifting.

6. After the assembly of the bridge erecting machine, it is necessary to perform a trial lifting operation. Alternatively, the concrete beam can be tested and the bridge erecting machine can be put back into place before starting the installation operation.

7. When installing the bridge erecting machine, it is necessary to regularly pay attention to safety inspections. A comprehensive safety inspection must be conducted for each hole installed. If any problems are found, the work must be stopped and dealt with in a timely manner before continuing the operation. Mechanical and electrical faults are not allowed to work.

8. Installation work is not allowed to operate beyond the load, and inclined lifting operations are not allowed.

9. The material for processing the connecting pins must be in accordance with the design drawings and cannot be replaced by low steel grade processing.

10. It is strictly prohibited to work in winds above level 5. The bridge erecting machine and lifting crane must be stabilized with rigging. When the bridge erecting machine stops working, the power supply must be cut off to prevent accidents.

11. The longitudinal positioning of the bridge erecting machine must strictly control the position and size to ensure the smooth installation of the precast concrete beams.

12. Due to the fact that the bridge erecting machine is a large-scale specialized equipment for bridge installation, the operation of the bridge erecting machine must have clear division of labor, unified command, and dedicated operators, electricians, and safety inspectors. Strict construction organization and measures must be implemented to ensure construction safety.

Daily safety inspection of bridge erecting machine

1. The daily inspection of the bridge erecting machine should be equipped with random tools and accessories.

2. Lubrication inspection of pillars one, two, and three, as well as the trolley.

3. Inspect each travel switch, emergency stop switch, and connector circuit.

4. Check the lifting capacity and height limiter of the small car.

5. Is the lighting and warning system working properly.

6. Daily inspection of the main structural welds of the bridge erecting machine, inspection of the welds in the main stress bearing areas, inspection of the welding areas for on-site modifications, and inspection of the welds in the crane arm.

7. Check the connecting bolts of the arm joint and the connecting bolts of the first, second, and third columns.

8. Pump station oil replenishment pressure inspection.

9. The fastening situation of the lifting mechanism and braking mechanism of the first and second crane trolleys.

10. Hydraulic system oil level and hydraulic system connection inspection.

11. Daily inspection of the engine operation of the bridge erecting machine.

12. Check the display status of each instrument.

13. Check if the emergency stop remote control, emergency stop switch, and remote control operation are reliable, and if the battery is fully charged.

14. Daily inspection of the first column of the bridge erecting machine.
